Set within a 620-acre private de development, the Rosewood Mayakoba aims for integration with the natural environment, protecting the natural mangroves on site and hosting hundreds of indigenous flora and fauna species. The hotel´s Green Operations program includes recycling and donating reusable items, eco-straws over plastic, refillable bottles for bathroom amenities, as well as water filters and recycled aluminum bottles in fitness centers and meeting rooms. All water used at the Rosewood Mayakoba comes from a natural well and is filtered through inverse osmosis, gray water from guestrooms and laundry is treated in-house for use in landscape irrigation, and ultrasound equipment is utilized to detect underground water leaks.
