Day 1: Arrive in Oaxaca
After arriving at Oaxaca International Airport, enjoy a private transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 2: Monte Alban tour and Oaxaca city
Journey to the outskirts of Oaxaca for a privately guided tour of Monte Alban, a magnificent ancient city which has been populated by the Olmec, Zapotec, and Mixtec civilizations. With an expert guide taking the lead, visit the main plaza to enjoy impressive vistas over the site and learn about the intricate rock carvings known as Los Danzantes (The Dancers).
In the afternoon, explore the amazing city of Oaxaca with its cobblestone streets, churches, squares, and markets.

Day 3: Teotitlan del Valle and Mitla
Uncover Oaxaca´s artistic heritage with a trip to Teotitlan del Valle, a village famous for producing beautiful, colorful rugs. Visit the homes of the master craftspeople, interacting with the artisans, and learn how to weave carpets with natural plant and animal dyes.
After, travel to the ruins of Mitla, an ancient Mesoamerican site famous for its well-preserved mosaics.

Day 4: Sierra Norte mountain hike
Discover Oaxaca’s stunning natural beauty with a transfer to the pine forests of the little-known Sierra Norte mountains and the village of Benito Juarez. Hike through the cloud forests towards the small village of Latuvi.
Spend the night in a community-owned lodge, which offers bunk beds and shared bathrooms but is very warm, clean, and accommodating. A stay here contributes directly to the community and ensures the preservation of the surrounding forest.
Day 5: Hike to Llano Grande
A full day of hiking awaits, venturing deeper into this pristine forest. Alpine lakes and rolling terrain make this a peaceful hike, ending at the lovely town of Llano Grande. Again, accommodation is in community-owned cabins with dinner served family-style in the community diner. Stay in bunk bed accommodation with linens and hot showers.
Day 6: Sierra Norte Mountains
Today, finish the hiking experience with visits to gorgeous landscapes, ending in the village of Lachatao. After lunch, transfer back to Oaxaca and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 7: Turtle research sanctuary visit
It’s time to see a completely different side of Oaxaca, taking a van transfer across the mountains and down to the steamy tropical coastline, crossing coffee and banana plantations along the way.
After the scenic drive, stop at a turtle research facility in the quaint town of Mazunte and check in to a beautiful lodge overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Day 8: Puerto Escondido
Enjoy a free day on the coast, taking advantage of the never-ending list of activities available.
